Double Soaking of Medium Manganese Steels

Materials Science Forum, 2023
Double soaking (DS) has been proposed as an alternate processing route for medium manganese steels. DS consists of soaking in the intercritical annealing region to stimulate manganese enrichment of austenite by depletion of ferrite followed by secondary soaking at a higher temperature and cooling to room temperature to obtain a martensite/austenite ...

Natural fiber templated TiO2 microtubes via a double soaking sol-gel route and their photocatalytic performance

Applied Surface Science, 2017
Abstract TiO 2 microtubes with a yam-like surface were prepared for the first time through a simple and efficient double soaking sol-gel route by utilizing Platanus acerifolia seed fibers as bio-templates. The physicochemical properties of the samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy ...

A Universal Soaking Strategy to Convert Composite Hydrogels into Extremely Tough and Rapidly Recoverable Double‐Network Hydrogels

Advanced Materials, 2016
Soak n' Boost: A universal strategy to manufacture hybrid double-network hydrogels with eminent mechanical properties is developed by postformation of the chitosan microcrystalline and chain-entanglement physical networks via simple treatment of the chitosan composite hydrogels using alkaline and saline solutions.

Double‐stranded RNA delivery through soaking mediates silencing of the muscle protein 20 and increases mortality to the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri

Pest Management Science, 2017
AbstractBACKGROUNDAsian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, is the most important economic pest of citrus because it transmits Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas), the causal agent of huanglongbing (HLB). Silencing genes by RNA interference (RNAi) is a promising approach for controlling D. citri.

A double-acceptor as a superior organic dye design for p-type DSSCs: high photocurrents and the observed light soaking effect

Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2014
A double-acceptor architecture for organic dyes is explored through device fabrication, DFT, impedance spectroscopy, electrolyte screening, and adsorption studies yielding very high molar extinction coefficients (99 980 M−1 cm−1), high photocurrents (7.4 mA cm−2), and the light soaking effect.
