Effect of Heating and Cooling Rates on the Microstructure of a Double Soaked Medium-manganese Al-alloyed Steel

open access: yesBHM Berg- und Hüttenmännische Monatshefte, 2022
AbstractThis contribution addresses the effect of heating and cooling rates on the microstructure of a double soaked medium-Mn 0.16C-5 Mn‑1.6Al‑0.2Si steel with an increased Al addition. The obtained results show that the differences in applied heating and cooling rates have a small effect on the microstructure of the investigated steel.

Optimization of ‘on farm’ hydropriming conditions in wheat: Soaking time and water volume have interactive effects on seed performance

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2023
Seed priming is a simple and cost effective method to obtain a better plant stand under diverse environmental conditions. The current study was designed to determine the optimal priming duration and water volume for wheat seed. For this experiment, three

Application of RNA Interference to Root-Knot Nematode Genes Encoding Esophageal Gland Proteins

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2005
Plant parasitic nematodes have been, so far, refractory to transformation or mutagenesis. The functional analysis of nematode genes relies on the development of reverse genetic tools adapted to these obligate parasites.

Ultrastrong and Tough Urushiol-Based Ionic Conductive Double Network Hydrogels as Flexible Strain Sensors

open access: yesPolymers, 2023
Ionic conductive hydrogels have attracted increasing research interest in flexible electronics. However, the limited resilience and poor fatigue resistance of current ionic hydrogels significantly restrict their practical application. Herein, an urushiol-
