Doubly Fed Induction Generator Subject to Symmetrical Voltage Sags

IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2011
The aim of this paper is to analyze the dynamic behavior of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) subject to symmetrical voltage sags caused by three-phase faults. A simple control algorithm is considered and assumed ideal: the rotor current irf in the synchronous reference frame is kept constant.

Stable Adaptive Inertial Control of a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator

IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, 2016
This paper proposes a stable adaptive inertial control scheme of a doubly-fed induction generator. The proposed power reference is defined in two sections: 1) the deceleration period and 2) the acceleration period. The power reference in the deceleration period consists of a constant and the reference for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) operation ...

Modeling and control of the doubly fed induction generator wind turbine

Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory, 2010
The present paper deals with the modeling of wind turbine generation systems. The model of a doubly fed induction generator, along with the corresponding converter, crow bar protection and electrical grid is described. The different level control strategies both in normal operation and under voltage dig conditions are discussed, including speed control,

Power and Speed Control of Brushless Doubly-Fed Induction Generators [PDF]

open access: possible2024 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)
The brushless doubly fed induction generator (BDFIG) with a partially rated converter has characteristics of a squirrel cage induction generator and a conventional synchronous generator. Its control is challenging due to the machine's complicated structure, which requires an effective controller to stabilize it within its normal speed range and under ...

Control of the Functioning of Doubly-Fed Induction Generators

2016
The chapter analyzes nonlinear control for Doubly-fed induction generators, through different approaches: (i) flatness-based control in cascading loops, (ii) flatness-based control through transformation to the canonical form, (iii) differential geometry-based control, (iv) nonlinear H-infinity control, (v) flatness-based adaptive control (vi) field ...
