Mechanics‐based model for cold joints in reinforced concrete members
Structural Concrete, EarlyView.Abstract This study introduces a mechanics‐based numerical model to characterize the behavior of cold joints in reinforced concrete members subjected to monotonic loading. The model incorporates mechanisms such as interface slip and opening, aggregate interlock, clamping force, and dowel action of the reinforcing bars crossing the interface.
