Witnessing Dp-Rank [PDF]

open access: yesNotre Dame Journal of Formal Logic, 2014
We prove that in NTP_2 theories if p is a dependent type with dp-rank >= κ, then this can be witnessed by indiscernible sequences of tuples satisfying p. If p has dp-rank infinity, then this can be witnessed by singletons (in any theory).

On DP‐coloring of digraphs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, 2019
AbstractDP‐coloring is a relatively new coloring concept by Dvořák and Postle and was introduced as an extension of list‐colorings of (undirected) graphs. It transforms the problem of finding a list‐coloring of a given graph with a list‐assignment to finding an independent transversal in an auxiliary graph with vertex set .

DP-MINIMALITY: INVARIANT TYPES AND DP-RANK [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Symbolic Logic, 2014
AbstractThis paper has two parts. In the first one, we prove that an invariant dp-minimal type is either finitely satisfiable or definable. We also prove that a definable version of the (p,q)-theorem holds in dp-minimal theories of small or medium directionality. In the second part, we study dp-rank in dp-minimal theories and show that it enjoys many ...

DP-colorings of hypergraphs

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 2019
Classical problems in hypergraph coloring theory are to estimate the minimum number of edges, $m_2(r)$ (respectively, $m^\ast_2(r)$), in a non-$2$-colorable $r$-uniform (respectively, $r$-uniform and simple) hypergraph. The best currently known bounds are \[c \cdot \sqrt{r/\log r} \cdot 2^r \,\leqslant\, m_2(r) \,\leqslant\, C \cdot r^2 \cdot 2^r ...

DP [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the sixth conference on Applied natural language processing -, 2000
This paper describes and evaluates a detector of presuppositions (DP) for survey questions. Incorrect presuppositions can make it difficult to answer a question correctly. Since they can be difficult to detect, DP is a useful tool for questionnaire designer. DP performs well using local characteristics of presuppositions.

Investigation of the Mould Resistance Design (MRD) model for mould growth in attics [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2020
Based on measurements of mould in 17 attics in the north of Sweden, 3 were chosen as a tentative validation of the MRD-model (Mould Resistance Design) for long periods of time (1961-2012).

On supersymmetric Dp– brane solutions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2002
Abstract We analyze in the spirit of hep-th/0110039 the possible existence of supersymmetric Dp– D p brane systems in flat ten-dimensional Minkowski space. For p=3,4 we show that besides the solutions related by T-duality to the D2– D 2 systems found by Bak and Karch there exist other ansatz whose compatibility is shown from general ...

Binding in Turkish Nominal Phrases and Phase-Sliding

open access: yesDilbilim Araştırmaları Dergisi, 2019
There are studies within literature which claim that nominal phrases such as DPs also constitute phases in addition to v*Ps and CPs (Chomsky, 2006; Hiraiwa, 2005; Marantz, 2007; Ott, 2008 and Svenious, 2004 among others).

Development and Implementation of a Disease‐Targeted Storybook as a Clinical Tool for Children With Acute Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Although significant progress has been made in childhood leukemia survival, healthcare providers, and caregivers often face challenges in explaining this disease to patients. Disease‐targeted storybooks have been proposed as a tool to facilitate the understanding of diagnoses and treatment.
