Spatiotemporally Controlled Sequential Chemo‐Immunotherapy Activates Pyroptosis for Robust Anti‐Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A glutathione and ultrasound dual‐responsive cerasome achieves sequential co‐delivery of gemcitabine and BMS1166 in tumors. Chemotherapy priming followed by on‐demand PD‐L1 blockade synergistically amplifies anti‐tumor immunity, inhibiting primary tumor growth, distant metastasis and inducing durable immune memory.

Effect of Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 Inhibitors on Bone Metabolism and the Possible Underlying Mechanisms

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2017
Diabetes mellitus has been demonstrated to be closely associated with osteoporosis. Accordingly, hypoglycemic therapy is considered effective in treating metabolic bone disease.

Asymmetric Structure‐Driven Functional Synergy: A Multistimuli‐Activated Janus Nanomotor for Self‐Amplifying NO Cascade Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Janus nanomotors leverage an “asymmetric structure‐driven functional synergy” strategy to orchestrate spatiotemporally coordinated catalytic functions, in situ self‐amplifying NO generation, and deep tumor penetration, thereby enabling controllable, sustained, and uniform NO generation within the tumor microenvironment.

Predictive Factors for Efficacy of Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 Inhibitors in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus [PDF]

open access: yesDiabetes & Metabolism Journal, 2015
BackgroundPredictive factors for the efficacy of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors for lowering glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) remain unclear in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Physiological and pharmacological mechanisms through which the DPP-4 inhibitor sitagliptin regulates glycemia in mice.

open access: yes, 2011
International audienceInhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) activity improves glucose homeostasis through a mode of action related to the stabilization of the active forms of DPP-4-sensitive hormones such as the incretins that enhance glucose ...

Loss of Intestinal MSTN Promotes GLP‐1 Secretion Through SGLT1 Palmitoylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intestinal MSTN deficiency enhances glucose‐stimulated GLP‐1 secretion and glucose tolerance in high‐fat diet‐fed mice. Mechanistically, loss of MSTN promotes YY1‐associated ZDHHC20 expression, increasing SGLT1 S‐palmitoylation at Cys301 and its plasma membrane localization in L cells.

Aortic valve disease: Novel animal models for advancing our understanding of the underlying mechanisms

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Due to the complex pathophysiology of aortic valve disease (AVD) and the resulting lack of effective pharmacotherapy, existing animal models are valuable research tools, but each has its own strengths and limitations. This review systematically surveys the major AVD models, compares their induction methods, pathological features, advantages and ...

Time course of the recovery of DPP-4 activity following dissociation of trelagliptin from the preformed DPP-4-inhibitor complex.

open access: yes, 2016
A preformed enzyme-inhibitor complex (where [DPP-4] = 50 nmol/L and trelagliptin concentration is as shown in the plot) was diluted 50-fold into a solution containing 2 mmol/L GP-pNA substrate (approximately 17x Km).
