The Long-Term Behaviour of BY Dra [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1995
BY Dra has been extensively monitored for flares and spot-modulation of brightness at the Bulgarian National Astronomical Observatory (Panov & Ivanova 1993). Its mean light level exhibited remarkable changes in the past, due to the emergence and disintegration of photospheric spots, and different cycles have been proposed for the long-term changes ...

Poorly Studied Eclipsing Binaries in the Field of DO Dra: V0455 Dra and V0454 Dra

open access: yes, 2020
We report an analysis of two poorly studied systems GSC 04396-00605 and GSC 04395-00485, which were recently named as V0455 Dra and V0454 Dra, respectively. For two eclipsing stars, the periods and epochs were significantly corrected using our extensive data.

Experimental and pilot investigation of the impact of drag reducing agents on filter performance

open access: yesCase Studies in Chemical and Environmental Engineering, 2023
Drag reducing agents (DRA) are commonly used chemicals in the process and pipeline industry. The unique properties of DRA allow for the reduction in friction and turbulence at the pipe wall, which reduces pumping and transportation costs for both raw ...

cAMP Stimulates SLC26A3 Activity in Human Colon by a CFTR-Dependent Mechanism That Does Not Require CFTR ActivitySummary

open access: yesCellular and Molecular Gastroenterology and Hepatology, 2019
Background & Aims: SLC26A3 (DRA) is an electroneutral Cl-/HCO3- exchanger that is present in the apical domain of multiple intestinal segments. An area that has continued to be poorly understood is related to DRA regulation in acute adenosine 3′,5 ...
