Photonic‐Enabled Energy‐Efficient Transparent Neuromorphic Computing Devices: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transparent photonic neuromorphic computing devices merge optics and brain‐inspired computing to overcome von Neumann bottlenecks with ultrafast, low‐energy processing. By exploiting transparent oxides, 2D materials, phase‐change materials, and hybrid heterostructures, these platforms enable photonic synapses, memory, and logic for see‐through edge ...

Drag Reduction Control for Torsion and Oscillation in Top Drive System Slide Drilling

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2018
The domestic technology of drag reduction control for torsion and oscillation in top drive system (TDS) slide drilling is not yet mature. The torque limit and torsion angle during drilling are still set by experience, which is inconsistent with the ...

Development of Thrust, Torque, and Power Estimation Model, and Prediction Performance of Earth Pressure Balance Tunnel Boring Machine in Mixed-Face Strata

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In this paper, a theoretical estimation model of TBM thrust, torque, and power in the rock–soil interface (RSI) of mixed ground is developed, including a new force model for the drag cutter that accounts for chamber pressure and soil friction.

Programmable Multi‐Axially Aligned Aerogels via Sequential Freeze‐Casting for Tailored Anisotropy and Tunable Mechanics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conventional single‐gradient freeze‐casting typically produces unidirectional porous architectures with limited transverse connectivity. The Sequential Hybridization by Infiltration and Freeze‐casting Technique (SHIFT) addresses this constraint by integrating secondary aligned structures within a preformed primary scaffold.

Experimental investigation of drag loss and plate separation behavior of wet clutches under external forces

open access: yesResults in Engineering
Understanding the drag loss behavior of wet clutches is crucial for the development of low-loss clutch systems. For non-horizontal installation positions and non-stationary applications, external forces caused by the inclination or vehicle dynamics act ...

Laser Preset of MnOx Layer on High‐Entropy Alloy Surface for Ampere‐Level Ultra‐Stable OER Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
3D printing enables a high entropy alloy‐derived, in situ formed MnOx overlayer that suppresses oxidation–reconstruction and mitigates anodic dissolution, while enhancing electrolyte wetting and bubble release to accelerate interfacial mass transport and OER kinetics.

Optimization Design of Low Drag Torque Parameters of High-speed Wet Clutches

open access: yesJixie chuandong
In order to reduce the drag torque under high speed conditions, the equivalent radius is introduced into the traditional low speed torque model of a wet clutch with track vehicle, and the calculation model of the drag torque with radial groove is derived.

A new drag and lift correlation for spherocylinders from fully resolved Immersed Boundary Method

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Many industrial processes deal with non‐spherical particles, e.g., mineral mining and biomass conversion. It is crucial to understand the particles' hydrodynamics to control and optimize these processes. To extend the current state‐of‐the‐art from arrays of spherical particles to spherocylindrical particles, we performed extensive particle ...
