Evaluation of drawing force by a new dimensionless method in deep drawing process
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part B: Journal of Engineering Manufacture, 2020In this research, geometric parameters were given in dimensionless form by the Π- Buckingham dimensional analysis method in the dimensionless group for deep drawing of a round cup. To find the best group of dimensionless parameters and the fittest dimensionless relational model, three scales of the cup are evaluated numerically by a commercial finite ...

The term metal forming refers to a group of manufacturing methods by which the given shape of a workpiece (a solid body) is converted to another shape without change in the mass or composition of the material of the workpiece. In this paper, the basics of a deep drawing process for the production of a thick plate steam boiler end caps are shown.

In this paper the influence of viscosity of fluid on radial stress, drawing stress and drawing force of magnesium alloys are presented through fluid-assisted deep drawing process. In this process, hydraulic pressure is to be applied in radial direction on the periphery of the blank for successful formation of cup.

The preliminary: notes on the force of drawing
The Journal of Architecture, 2014Maintaining drawings' identity as a question means that drawing is more than an historical category. Drawings have force. The contention of this article is that drawing enables architecture to stage a relation to an outside. It is not that relation. Drawing is prior to the built.

A variable force binder for a draw press
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 1998Improvements in manufacturing quality, flexibility, and efficiency require innovations in both tooling technology and process control strategies to speed the transition from art to part. An innovative forming press using a variable force binder (VFB) is proposed as the first step in attaining these goals. This paper presents the design, development and

Force-directed drawing method for intersecting clustered graphs
2007 6th International Asia-Pacific Symposium on Visualization, 2007We present a novel force-directed method for drawing an intersecting clustered graph. This is based upon simulation of a virtual physical system. The graph can express complicated structures such as inclusion and intersection between vertices/clusters as well as adjacency, and it is used in diverse fields such as creativity support, software ...

Graph Drawing by Force-Directed Method in Mirror Frames
2010 2nd International Workshop on Database Technology and Applications, 2010The most widely used algorithms for graph drawing are force-directed algorithms. We should modify a hybrid force model that is coupling a traditional spring force model and a novel repulsive force model will be proposed to solve the graph drawing problems in 2-D space.

The representation of gravitational force during drawing movements of the arm
Experimental Brain Research, 1998The purpose of the present experiment was to study the way in which the central nervous system (CNS) represents gravitational force (GF) during vertical drawing movements of the arm. Movements in four different directions: (a) upward vertical (0 degrees), (b) upward oblique (45 degrees), (c) downward vertical (180 degrees) and (d) downward oblique (135

Drawing as ontogenetic force of architecture
Drawing: Research, Theory, PracticeThis article explores drawing’s potential to inf(l)ect design processes by generating and holding in incipiency sensibilities and vitality affect derived from lived movement-experience. It speculates on how, by doing so, it might carry through and infuse aesthetic or existential values into modes of inhabitation. The author claims that if drawing is to

Given a connected undirected graph, the problem is to determine a straight-line layout such that the structure of the graph is represented in a readable and unbiased way. Part of the problem is the definition of readable and unbiased. Formally, we are given a simple, undirected graph G D .V; E/ with vertex set V and edge set E V 2 . Let n D jV j be the
