Update on the fluorometric measurement of enzymatic activities for Lysosomal Storage Disorder detection: The example of MPS VI [PDF]
Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSD) are rare diseases that as a whole havea combined incidence ranging from 1:1500 to 1:7000 live births. One of suchdiseases is Mucopolysaccharidosis VI (MPS VI), or Maroteaux Lamy Syndrome.MPS VI patients undergo ...

Sorbent-less dried blood spot microsampling
A novel concept for sorbent-less dried blood spot (DBS) microsampling was suggested. Subsequently, a comprehensive study was carried out investigating the effect of the novel and a standard DBS sampling procedures on eluate contamination and analyte stability. Superior results were achieved for the sorbent-less DBS microsampling.

Meta‐Rod Mechanical Metamaterials With Programmable Reconfiguration
Existing mechanical metamaterials achieve programmable large deformations in planar square or cubic configurations, restricted by required complex boundary conditions. This research proposes a 1D metamaterial, Meta‐rod, with linear, bending, twisting, area, and volume deformation modes.

A self‐gelling PG@PAC (POD/Gel‐CDH@PA/CHX) powder is developed for infected burn care in austere settings. Upon contact with wound exudate, it instantly forms an adhesive hydrogel, providing simultaneous hemostasis, broad‐spectrum antibacterial activity, reactive oxygen species scavenging, and immunomodulation. In a murine model of S.

A dried blood spot assay for paclitaxel and its metabolites [PDF]
After being used for decades in clinical screening, dried blood spots (DBS) have recently received considerable attention for their application in pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic studies in rodents. The goal of this study was to develop and apply a DBS-
