Spatial Analysis of Water Temperature in a Drinking Water Distribution System for Climate Change Adaptation [PDF]
The analysis of the spatial distribution of drinking water temperature (DWT) in the drinking water distribution system (DWDS) can allow for the detection of hotspots and the identification of suitable mitigation interventions to enhance the climate ...

Adsorption of Forever Chemical Pollutants: The Physical Chemistry of PFAS Near Surfaces
Current adsorption‐based remediation techniques for removing per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from water are limited by knowledge gaps on PFAS behavior near solid surfaces. This review provides a state of the art on theoretical and experimental aspects of PFAS adsorption.

We identified a Krt14+ Igf2bp1+ bladder cancer population linked to EMT. Mechanistically, KRT14 stabilizes and transports IGF2BP1 to invasive protrusions, initiating a positive feedback loop that drives metastasis and poor outcomes. ABSTRACT Basal‐type muscle‐invasive bladder cancer (BMIBC) is characterized by aggressive metastasis and poor prognosis ...

Challenges of Water Quality Modelling in Drinking Water Supply Systems
All around the world there are strict requirements for drinking water purification and there are special limits for microbial quality of drinking water. Since the DWD requirements allows small concentration of microorganisms in drinking water (Rubulis et

Household-based water treatment for the prevention of diarrhoeal disease [PDF]
Unsafe drinking water, together with poor hygiene and sanitation, are the main contributors to diarrhoeal disease, a leading cause of mortality and morbidity especially among young children in low-income settings.

To explore the impact of nanosizing on pesticide biointeractions, a 7‐nm (average) emamectin benzoate nanopesticide without nanocarriers or surfactants is fabricated via HOAc‐mediated disaggregation. Nanosizing enhances bioactivity against Megalurothrips usitatus and Meloidogyne enterolobii and improves plant penetration.

Estimation of the Return on Capital in Municipal Water Systems [PDF]
The shadow return on capital in 75 small municipal water systems is estimated using a gamma frontier variable cost function. The estimated Social Cost of capital exceeds the shadow return by an average ratio of 4.37:1, with a median capital stock ...
