Investigation of the Reoxidation and Material Behavior of Directly Reduced Pellets and Fines Under Simulated Rail Transport Conditions

The study investigates the reoxidation behavior of DRI pellets (Midrex and H2‐reduced) under realistic conditions, considering the test parameters of temperature, humidity, storage duration, particle size (including fine fraction), and container geometry. A Novel Approach to Energy Management in Electric Steelworks

Feed‐forward neural networks are exploited to estimate electric energy consumptions of the electric arc furnace and ladle furnace processes. The models are used to optimize production schedule so that more energy intensive grades are produced when the cost of energy is lower.

Influence of an Electromagnetic Field on Direct Reduction of Iron Oxide Using Hydrogen as a Reducing Agent

Isothermal Reduction Behavior and Microstructural Evolution of Iron Ore Sinter Under Simulated Radial Blast Furnace Gas Atmospheres With Hydrogen Injection

Commercial iron ore sinter is reduced isothermally under operation‐derived radial blast furnace gas atmospheres with and without 20 kg H2/tHM injection. Hydrogen improves reduction at 900–1100 °C, whereas at 700 °C the high H2O content limits the wüstite‐to‐iron driving force.
