Induction Motor Drive Parameters Identification Applying Difference Schemes

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
The authors have developed and tested by mathematical modeling the method of the induction motor parameters identification based on the difference schemes. When obtaining a difference equation system, the total delay time was taken to be equal to a quarter of a stator voltage period.

PLL control scheme for high performance SRM drive

APEC '98 Thirteenth Annual Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2002
The switched reluctance motor (SRM) provides good adjustable speed characteristics. However, higher torque ripple is one of a few disadvantages of SRM drives. The SRM has torque ripple if it is not operated with an MMF current specified for switching angle and phase voltage.

New driving scheme for self driven synchronous rectifiers

APEC '99. Fourteenth Annual Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition. 1999 Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36285), 1999
Self-driven synchronous rectification (SDSR) is a very good technique to improve efficiency and thermal management in low output voltage converters. In this paper, a new scheme to drive the synchronous rectifiers (SRs) is proposed. It allows for maintaining the SRs on even when the voltage in the transformer is zero, which is impossible to do in ...

32.4: New Driving Scheme for the Camel CRT

SID Symposium Digest of Technical Papers, 2000
Abstract Some characteristics of the black‐white camel CRT made in our lab are briefly presented in this paper, and the detailed descriptions of the new driving scheme for the camel CRT are then given. New circuit design has a very simple structure and can effectively remove or decrease the bright or black stripe between both unit ...

Photovoltaic powered electric vehicle using PMSM drive scheme

International Journal of Vehicle Autonomous Systems, 2013
In this paper, a Photovoltaic (PV) array and battery-powered Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drive scheme, along with the design aspects of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and solar cells, is presented. EVs provide a potential solution to the problem of dependence on ever decreasing and polluting fossil fuels for the transportation sector.

Optimization of Dynamic Drive Scheme for Cholesteric LCDs

Journal of Display Technology, 2016
A system for analyzing the dynamic drive scheme (DDS) of a cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) display is developed. The proposed method efficiently determines the transition properties of different stable states of CLC. The voltage differences among phases (preparation, selection, and evolution phases) are strongly related to the time integral.

Cascaded control scheme for speed variable ultrasonic drives

IAS '96. Conference Record of the 1996 IEEE Industry Applications Conference Thirty-First IAS Annual Meeting, 2002
A novel control scheme for the most advanced traveling wave ultrasonic motor fed by a resonant power converter is presented and verified by measurements on a prototype drive. Based on a detailed simulation model, the drive's characteristics are investigated. Using this model, pull-out phenomenon can be avoided by means of a tailored control unit. Thus,

Phase compensation driving scheme for synchronous rectifiers [PDF]

open access: possible, 2016
Phase compensation of a voltage appearing on physical terminals of a synchronous rectifier switching element such as a MOSFET is used to substantially eliminate effects of package inductance of the synchronous rectifier and thus approximate the actual voltage across the circuit element providing synchronous rectification in, for example, a switching ...

Oscillating-field current-drive schemes for tokamaks

1989
NOTE: Text or symbols not renderable in plain ASCII are indicated by [...]. Abstract is included in .pdf document. A novel current-drive scheme for steady-state tokamak operation is investigated in which external coils are applied to induce time-periodic fluid-type, fluctuations within the plasma; a nonlinear interaction between these fluctuations ...
