Beyond Earth: Resilience of Quasi‐2D Perovskite Solar Cells in Space

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In the article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202520433), Christoph Putz and co‐workers demonstrate rigid quasi‐2D perovskite solar cells operating in low Earth orbit, delivering stable power for more than 100 days under real‐space conditions. In‐orbit performance is correlated with extensive ground‐based thermal and proton‐irradiation studies on rigid and ...

Two Wheel Drive Motorcycle

open access: yesIOSR Journal of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, 2014
Nowadays people concentrate more and more on the comfort and operability of automobiles. Four wheel-drives in cars have become popular and are in demand in the automotive sector. But the advancement in two wheelers was limited. The concept of two wheel drive motorcycles was not successfully and economically implemented.

Electronic Structure Modulation Induced by Asymmetric Cu─Ni Centers in a π‐Conjugated Triazine MOF

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A π‐conjugated H3TATB‐based asymmetric bimetallic CuNi‐MOF was developed as an efficient electrocatalyst for alkaline hydrogen evolution. Benefiting from synergistic Cu–Ni interactions, enhanced charge transfer, and stabilized active sites, CuNi‐MOF delivers superior HER performance with low overpotential, improved kinetics, and 24 h durability.

Normalized Coupling Method for Speed Synchronization of Multi-Axis Driving Vehicles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2012
A new normalized coupling synchronization (NCS) method is proposed to solve the problem of synchronizing the speeds of all wheels in a multi-axis independent driving system without mechanical transmission connection. The NCS method integrates normalizing

Performance Evaluation of an In-Wheel Motor Cooling System in an Electric Vehicle/Hybrid Electric Vehicle

open access: yesEnergies, 2014
High power and miniaturization of motors in an in-wheel drive system, which is installed inside the wheels of a vehicle, are required for directly driving the wheels. In addition, an efficient cooling system is required to ensure high driving performance

Anti‐Slip Material‐Based Strategies and Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review highlights the principle mechanisms of slipping at the microscale, linking contact mechanics with a friction behavior model for surface interfaces. Main strategies to develop anti‐slip properties to the surfaces are discussed alongside standardized testing approaches.

Perception enhancement for steer-by-wire systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Modern automobiles are safer and more comfortable than ever before. If there is one criticism that can be made, however, it is that the achievement of higher levels of comfort has sometimes come at the expense of a lack of driver involvement. The issue
