Calculation of Droplet Size Distribution in Condensing Flow
Condensing flows can be found in a large variety of industrial machinery such as steam turbines and supersonic gas conditioners. In many of these applications, it is very important to predict the droplet size distributions accurately. In the present research, the droplet size distribution in condensing flows is investigated numerically.

Prediction of the droplet size distribution in aerodynamic droplet breakup
Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 2022The rim and bag dynamics in aerodynamic droplet breakup are investigated experimentally and theoretically. Three main modes contribute to the breakup sizes in aerodynamic droplet breakup: the rim node, the remaining rim and the bag breakup modes. However, existing models only consider one mode and are, therefore, unable to predict the size distribution.

Droplet size distribution in a continuous oscillatory baffled reactor
We report our experimental investigation of droplet size distribution (DSD) in a continuous oscillatory baffled reactor (COBR). The droplet experiments were carried out over a range of oscillation amplitudes and frequencies and for three different net ...

On the size distribution of cloud droplets
Atmospheric Research, 1995Abstract The cloud droplet size distribution pattern of statistical significance is addressed after discussing the four uncertainties (subjective, measurement, mathematical and instinctive) about the classical “one-to-one” descriptions. The case study shows that the Weibull distribution n(D) = N0Dq−1exp( −λDq) could be the distribution pattern.
