Liquid Droplet Stamp Transfer Printing

Advanced Functional Materials, 2021
AbstractDespite the increasingly significant role of flexible electronics in information, energy, and medical treatment, their integration with a special‐shaped interface remains an unresolved challenge. The traditional transfer method, as a core technology of device integration, is still unsuitable for thinned chips and 3D sensors.

Droplet transfer in arcing-wire GTAW

Journal of Manufacturing Processes, 2016
Abstract In arcing-wire GTAW process, the wire melting speed and weld penetration are decoupled. To well study the arcing-wire GTAW, especially the droplet transfer mode, the forces imposed on the droplet are analyzed firstly and compared with those in conventional GMAW. Then the experiments have been carefully designed and conducted.

Transfer of Oil between Emulsion Droplets

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1996
A contrast matching technique was used to determine the exchange of oils between emulsion droplets having different refractive indexes. Emulsions of tetradecane and 1-bromo tetradecane in water were made separately in a high-pressure homogenizer, then mixed and equilibrated at rest.

Local heat transfer to an evaporating superhydrophobic droplet [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2018
The heat flux distribution beneath a superhydrophobic evaporating droplet has been explored. High speed, high resolution infrared thermography was employed to measure the heat transfer characteristics of the evaporating droplet.

Study of Ion Transfer Coupling with Electron Transfer by Hydrophilic Droplet Electrodes

Analytical Chemistry, 2015
In a hydrophilic droplet three-electrode system, electroactive species within the droplet play very important roles in the electron-transfer (ET) process on the solid/electrolyte interface, which can then induce an ion-transfer (IT) reaction at the liquid/liquid interface.

Droplet Heat Transfer in Oxygen Steelmaking

Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B, 2021
Bloated droplet phenomena play a vital role in the refining kinetics of basic oxygen steelmaking. Previous studies have developed extensive models to understand the kinetics of bloated droplets. However, no studies in the open literature address the thermal behavior of bloated droplets for a BOF (Basic oxygen furnace).

TRANSIENT HEAT TRANSFER TO A DROPLET SUSPENDED IN AN ELECTRIC FIELD

Numerical Heat Transfer, 1988
An implicit alternating direction scheme is proposed here to solve the energy equation for the transient heat transfer to a fluid droplet suspended in an electric field. Use of Peaceman-Rachford scheme adopted by earlier authors produces undesirable oscillations in the Nusselt numbers which can be eliminated by the method proposed here.

Droplet Combustion With Radiative Heat Transfer

ASME 1997 Turbo Asia Conference, 1997
Combustion of a droplet, either in stationary or convective motion under the effect of radiative heat transfer is studied. The closed form expression of gasification laws and the radiative flux distribution surrounding a stationary droplet are calculated using Potential Theory of Radiation in conjunction with the canonical theory of droplet recently ...
