Current preclinical studies of AAV‐mediated gene therapy explore different strategies based on the characteristics of inner ear diseases. For genetic hearing loss, approaches include the replacement of a “good gene,” removal of a “bad gene,” or direct correction of mutations through base editing.

Restoration of Sp4 in Forebrain GABAergic Neurons Rescues Hypersensitivity to Ketamine in Sp4 Hypomorphic Mice. [PDF]
BackgroundKetamine produces schizophrenia-like behavioral phenotypes in healthy people. Prolonged ketamine effects and exacerbation of symptoms after the administration of ketamine have been observed in patients with schizophrenia.

Genotyping for Severe Drug Hypersensitivity [PDF]
Over the past decade, there have been significant advances in our understanding of the immunopathogenesis and pharmacogenomics of severe immunologically-mediated adverse drug reactions. Such T-cell-mediated adverse drug reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN), drug-induced liver disease (DILI) and other drug ...

Brain‐Wide Spatiotemporally Distinct Traveling Waves Drive Anxiety‐Like Behaviors in Mice
J.Liu et al. reveal the complete propagation dynamics of cortical traveling waves, from local circuitry initiation to long‐range propagation, and identify their functional relevance in modulating anxiety‐like behaviors and underlying cellular neuroplasticity in mice.

Fixed drug eruption and anaphylaxis induced concurrently by erdosteine: a case report
Background Erdosteine is used as a mucolytic agent and has a low incidence of adverse drug reactions, most of which are gastrointestinal and mild. Moreover, drug antigens rarely induce multiple simultaneous immunologic reactions.

IncRNA‐ZFAS1, an Emerging Gate‐Keeper in DNA Damage‐Dependent Transcriptional Regulation
LncZFAS1 plays a crucial role during DNA damage response in mammalian cells. Loss of lncZFAS1 results in deficient DNA lesion removal and reduced cell viability. Mechanistically, lncZFAS1 modulates RNAPII phosphorylation and transcription and thereby promotes both GG‐NER and TC‐NER upon UV damage.
