ABSTRACTThis paper reviews the dynamics behind, and ethical issues associated with, the phenomenon of drug resistance. Drug resistance is an important ethical issue partly because of the severe consequences likely to result from the increase in drug resistant pathogens if more is not done to control them.

Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Enigmatic exosomal connection in lung cancer drug resistance
Lung cancer remains a significant global health concern with limited treatment options and poor prognosis, particularly in advanced stages. Small extracellular vesicles such as exosomes, secreted by cancer cells, play a pivotal role in mediating drug ...

In the field study many types of drug-resistant E. coli, Shigella and Citrobacter were isolated by this laboratory. And seven types of transmissible drug-resistance factor were obtained; R(TC) R(SM), R(CM. TC), R(SM. SA), R(CM. SM SA), R(TC. SM. SA) and R(CM. TC.SM. SA). The R(CM) factor was segregated from (CM.

This study highlights the importance of multi‐omic analyses in characterizing colorectal cancers. Indeed, our analysis revealed a rare CMS1 exhibiting dampened immune activation, including reduced PD‐1 expression, moderate CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, and suppressed JAK/STAT pathway.

Drug Resistance in Cancer: An Overview
Cancers have the ability to develop resistance to traditional therapies, and the increasing prevalence of these drug resistant cancers necessitates further research and treatment development.

Drug Resistance in Tuberculosis
Resistance to antituberculosis drugs is due to the occurrence of resistant mutants in the bacterial population even before exposure to these drugs. These mutations are chromosomal in origin. Resistance occurs when the bacterial population is large or when drugs are used alone. Potent drugs such as rifampicin, isoniazid and streptomycin are effective in

Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells
