Unlocking Zn-Ion Diffusion in Disordered Rocksalt Cathodes for Nonaqueous Zn-Ion Batteries. [PDF]
Developing viable cathode materials for multivalent battery chemistries is challenging due to the intrinsic sluggish diffusion kinetics. A disordered rocksalt oxide host was found to “lock” the cycling of zinc ions from nonaqueous electrolyte. We unlock zinc ion diffusion in the disordered rocksalt by introduction of a percolating vacancy network ...

Differential Tissue-Coupled Powering for Battery-Free Injectable Electroceuticals. [PDF]
A thread‐like injectable neural stimulator is powered through differential tissue‐coupled powering (DTCP), which harvests RF‐frequency tissue potentials with an elongated receiver while preserving a injectable cross‐section. The system integrates an ASIC, stimulation electrodes, and a portable transmitter, enabling wireless peripheral nerve stimulation,

Performance Analysis of a Generalized and Autonomous DRX Scheme [PDF]
A generalized and autonomous discontinuous reception (DRX) scheme, which is applicable to both Third-Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) and IEEE 802.16e standards, is analyzed by two-level Markov chain modeling, along with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) packet traffic model.

Peculiarities of DRX in a Highly-Alloyed Austenitic Stainless Steel [PDF]
The features of discontinuous dynamic recrystallization (DRX) in a highly-alloyed austenitic stainless steel were studied at temperatures of 800 °C to 1100 °C. Hot deformation accompanied by DRX was characterized by an activation energy of 415 kJ/mol.

Despite its promise for producing metastable materials, the mechanisms underlying solid‐state microwave synthesis remain poorly understood. By combining in situ thermography with x‐ray diffraction and solid‐state NMR, this study uncovers a surprising order–disorder–order reaction pathway during the microwave synthesis of the Li1.1Mn0.9O1.9F0.1${\rm Li ...
