Vibration damping by dry friction with microslips

open access: yes, 2013
An experimental set for measurement of dry friction characteristics at vibration relative motion has been developed and used for evaluation of time histories of friction forces at motion with given amplitudes, frequencies and loading normal forces.

MOF‐Derived Cu‐TiO2/Alginate Micromotors for Buoyancy‐Regulated 3D Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, cyanobacteria‐inspired sodium alginate (SA)/Cu‐TiO2/Fe3O4 hydrogel micromotors generate and encapsulate O2 microvesicles upon light irradiation, enabling buoyancy‐mediated Z‐axis upward migration and surface enrichment at the light‐exposed water‐air surface.

Force‐Electric Nanotentacles of Tantalum Implant Accelerate Cellular Energy Metabolism/Crosstalk for Immunomodulation‐Vascularized Bone Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic force‐electric nanotentacle‐enabled tantalum (Ta) implant with surface‐nanostructured LiTaO3 (n‐LiTaO3) was first developed via laser nanofabrication combined with Li+‐induced in situ reaction, enabling the transduction of ultrasound into bioelectrical cues.

Temperature processes at dry friction

open access: yes, 2011
Application of dry friction damping contact is very often used for damping of turbine blades vibration. This problem is intensively studied in our Institute for several years, but the deficiency of knowledge of special material’s friction characteristics

Static Drainage H2/O2 PEM Fuel Cells Enabled by Water Transport Plates: Pore‐Scale Design and Transport Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The WTP is a key component of static drainage PEMFCs, enabling cathode water removal and gas sealing through capillary forces. This work investigates the mechanisms governing WTP drainage and sealing performance and develops predictive approaches for WTP design optimization.

Sulfur–Oxygen Competitive Coordination Allosteric Hydrogel for Triboelectric Nanogenerator‐Based Intelligent Tactile Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dynamic Ag+─S coordinated hydrogel with a sulfur–oxygen competitive coordination allosteric switch enables reversible tuning between soft–adhesive and stiff–robust states. Integrated with a lightweight 1DCNN classifier, the smart glove system achieves 99.70% laboratory and 93.35% real‐wear material recognition accuracy, offering a paradigm for self ...

Various types of dry friction characteristics

open access: yes, 2011
The dry friction processes is described by a general Coulomb friction law with respecting of micro-slips at the very low velocity, difference between static and dynamic coefficients, etc.
