Soft Yet Tough Tanglemers Through Rapid Photopolymerization for DLP 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Soft yet tough tanglemers are produced through low‐initiator free radical photopolymerization and translated to DLP 3D printing. Systematic control over light intensity, initiator loading, and crosslink density reveals processing windows that balance printability, elasticity, toughness, and feature fidelity. ABSTRACT Additive manufacturing of compliant

On the Friction and Wear Mechanisms of Electrified Steel Contacts in CO2: Unveiling the Role of Carbon‐Rich Tribofilms Under Dry Sliding Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces
This study examines the friction and wear mechanisms of dry sliding steel interfaces in a CO2 atmosphere, with and without contact electrification. Comparative tests were also performed in ambient air and dry N2 atmospheres to differentiate the extent ...

The mechanism of wear of spheroidal graphite cast iron in dry sliding

open access: yesWear, 1972
Abstract A study was made of the mechanism of wear of spheroidal graphite cast iron in dry sliding. The results showed that when the sliding velocity was greater than 3.00 m/sec, a 0.02 mm thick martensite layer was formed on the sliding surface, a phenomenon specific to the spheroidal graphite cast iron.

Electropolymerized Aptasensor for Femtogram‐Level Cytokine Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electropolymerization of 3‐amino‐ʟ‐tyrosine creates ultrathin, smooth, and chemically robust pALT nanofilms with accessible carboxyl functionalities for direct aptamer immobilization. Integrated with fiber‐optic SPR and OECT platforms, these interfaces enable IL‐6 detection down to 100 fg mL−1 and provide a versatile route to bioelectronic sensing ...

Dry sliding wear behaviour of as-cast AZ31B magnesium alloy

open access: yesMechanics, 2017
This study investigates dry sliding wear behavior of as-cast AZ31B magnesium alloy using a pin-on-disc type wear apparatus against EN42 steel with heat treatment as counterface. A wear mapping approach has been undertaken to represent the wear regimes and the main mechanism of wear in each regime.

Poly(Alkoxythiophene) Rod‐Coil Block Copolymers for Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present the first synthesis of poly(3‐alkoxythiophene) rod‐coil block copolymers as a new architecture for OMIECs. Incorporating PEG and PLLA coils can enhance device performance beyond the homopolymer. The figure‐of‐merit depends uniquely on coil length.

Bioinspired Mechanosensitive Organic Artificial Neuron With Programmable Excitatory and Inhibitory Responses via Nonlinear Mechano‐Electrochemical Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Organic artificial neurons couple mechanical deformation and ionic environments through nonlinear mechano‐electrochemical dynamics. Mechanical strain and electrolyte concentration reshape their nonlinear electrical characteristics, programming excitatory or inhibitory spiking responses that mimic mechanosensitive biological neurons and enable ...
