Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Design and analysis of cloth dryer cabinet by utilizing heat rejected from air conditioning system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Nowadays cabinet dryer is widely use, especially for those who are busy working. Besides that, most of the laundries today have a dryer. It is not just because it can run their operation all the time, but they also can prevent the risk to the cloths that

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Permeation and Rectification in Canonical Transient Receptor Potential-6 (TRPC6) Channels

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2018
Transient receptor potential-6 channels are widely expressed cation channels that play a role in regulating Ca2+ dynamics, especially during G protein-coupled receptor signaling.

Interplanetary double-shock ensembles with anomalous electrical conductivity [PDF]

open access: yes
Similarity theory is applied to the case of constant velocity, piston-driven, shock waves. This family of solutions, incorporating the interplanetary magnetic field for the case of infinite electric conductivity, represents one class of experimentally ...

Multilocus sequence typing of Cronobacter spp. from powdered infant formula and milk powder production factories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This study applied the Cronobacter spp. multilocus sequence typing (MLST) scheme to three strain collections, then known as Enterobacter sakazakii, which had been isolated between 1988 and 2009 from 14 countries. The results revealed the predominance (85%

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Design and Evaluate a Cabinet Dryer for Drying of Food and Agriculture Waste

open access: yesJournal of Research in Agriculture and Food Sciences
Aim: To dry food and agricultural waste, a cabinet dryer was designed, constructed, and evaluated. Methods: An axial fan with an air volume of 310 m3/hour, 2,800 rpm, and 110 Pa was selected to supply airflow in the dryer and heater by heating power 2.

Factors affecting the continued use of the mobile flash dryers by farmer co-operatives, Nueva Ecija, Philippines : a thesis submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree Master of Applied Science (Agricultural Systems Management), Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Harvest of the Philippines second and larger rice crop occurs during the end of the wet season. For members of the rice industry this wet season harvest poses a problem: grain cannot be dried reliably using traditional sundrying methods.
