Reduction of Drying Time for Pepperoni by Vacuum‐drying
Journal of Food Science, 1996ABSTRACT Commercial pepperoni was dried under vacuum (100 kPa) at three temperatures (177°, 19°, and 22°C) and matching controls were dried under commercial conditions. Vacuum‐dried pepperoni achieved a moisture: protein (M:P) ratio of 1.6:1 after 9 to 12 days drying, compared to 18 days for the control.

THE PROCESS OF DRYING INVOLVES SEVERAL physical and/or chemical changes, such as solvent evaporation, oxidation, and polymerization, all of which are time dependent. The various stages of drying that occur in organic films may be subjective, difficult to measure reproducibly, and are influenced by many factors such as film thickness, substrate ...

DRYING KINETICS AND PARTICLE RESIDENCE TIME IN SPRAY DRYING
Drying Technology, 2002ABSTRACT A unique experimental equipment for extensive trials on the spray drying kinetics and particles residence time involving “in situ” analysis of the properties of continuous and dispersed phases was designed, built, and tested. Advanced experimental techniques (including laser techniques) to determine current parameters of spray drying process ...

Probably no test on coatings has given as much trouble as drying time, unless it is hardness. One reason is the subjective nature of the tests. Another is the unawareness of the influence of environment and of the mechanical details of instrumental aids.

Infrared drying lowers energy costs and drying times
Plastics, Additives and Compounding, 2007Plastics drying processes are costly and have high energy requirements. Depending on the material, drying times of several hours are not unusual, requiring a corresponding large stock of material in the drying hoppers. As a rule, in conventional systems, the energy input is indirectly affected by warm or dry air. However, Mr M.

Effect of blanching temperature and dipping time on drying time of broccoli
Food Science and Technology International, 2013Drying characteristics of broccoli was experimentally studied in cabinet-type convective dryer. Experiments were conducted using constant air velocity of 2 m/s and air temperature of 60 ℃. Drying rate increased with increasing blanching temperature and thus reduced the drying time.

[Drying time for human saliva].
Archiv fur Kriminologie, 2015In a case of aggravated extortion under threat of force, the medicolegal expert was asked to give an opinion on the drying time of human saliva. Fresh traces of saliva were applied to composite stones similar to those at the scene of the crime and their drying behavior was examined in a climate test chamber.
