Investigation about methods of quantitative evaluation of DTA curves
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1977The investigation gives a comparison of the best-known kinetic evaluation methods for DTA curves. With regard to accuracy and error-compensation, the methods of Borchardt and Daniels, Coats and Redfern and Satava and Skvara in particular are to be recommended if simple irreversible reactions are to be evaluated on the basis of homogeneous kinetics. The

Dehydration investigations of a refractory concrete using DTA method
Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2011Characterization of adsorption-desorption (AD) processes of gas particles on semiconductors is necessary in order to investigate the influence of these processes on the micro/nano-devices performance. By applying a numerical computational method we determined the pressure dependence of the equilibrium coverage of the semiconductor surface by ...

Oxidation stability of polymeric materials dynamic DSC/DTA method
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1982The dynamic DSC/DTA method was observed to give better selectivity and reproducibility than the isothermal method when estimating relative oxidation stability of plastics materials. The dynamic DSC/DTA method is in this survey exposed to a round robin test.

DRIFTS/pyrometer-DTA—a novel simultaneous method in heterogeneous catalysis
Measurement Science and Technology, 2005This work presents a novel simultaneous method: by coupling a pyrometer—a contactless temperature sensor—to an existing DRIFTS setup such a combination was applied for the first time. During temperature-programmed reduction of silver carbonate with ethylene (as an example), pyrometrically detected processes could be assigned to spectroscopically ...

Studying salt systems with “wedged - out” compounds by DTA method
Thermochimica Acta, 1985Abstract A wide application of differential-thermal analysis in studying heterogeneous equilibriums in polycomponent systems made it possible to single out a number of diagrams of state, which reveal lack of the phase of the similarly melting compound in b completely crystallized alloy. It led to the conclusion that traditional means of triangulation

Selection of ammonia oxidation catalysts by a modified DTA method
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1980The paper presents a technique of examining catalysts by a modified DTA method in mixtures of reacting gases. The possibilities of using the obtained results for a selection of ammonia oxidation catalysts have been examined. The technique described may also be applied for the selection of catalysts in other reactions.

To compare several methods, used to evaluate DTA experiments, the peroxide tertiary butylperpivalate was degraded. Non-isothermal conditions were applied and kinetic constants were evaluated. The results show that the methods of Borchardt-Daniels and Coats-Redfern turned out to be most appropriate.

DTA as a method of studying chemical reactions at high pressures
Thermochimica Acta, 1987Abstract It is proposed that DTA should be used to study chemical reactions under high pressures “in situ”. Two techniques are described which allow the investigation of systems including substances of high chemical activity in different pressure ranges.

Waves in Random and Complex Media, 2007
This paper presents an improved diagonal tensor approximation (DTA) and its hybridization with the stabilized biconjugate-gradient fast Fourier transform (BCGS–FFT) algorithm to solve a volume integral equation for three-dimensional (3D) objects in layered media.

Many crystalline substances show at distinct temperatures spontaneous, reversible structural transformations, the existence and temperatures of which can be observed very clearly in a DTA curve. However, the nature of the resulting products of reaction remains obscure, since these transformations receded during cooling.
