Demonstration of RF Digitising Concurrent Dual-Band Receiver for Carrier Aggregation over TV White Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In order to meet the high data rate, low latency and high energy efficiency requirements, the future radio units must utilise the frequency spectrum available at certain geographical location efficiently with a minimum amount of hardware.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Frequency tuning varactor-loaded reconfigurable antenna for m-WiMAX and WLAN applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A design approach for a microstrip patch antenna to achieve the reconfigurable dual-band operation with a tunable device is presented in this work. The approach uses a BB833 varactor diode in the middle of a slotted patch antenna which which is able to ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Decoupling of Two Strongly Coupled Dual-Band Antennas With Reactively Loaded Dummy Element Array

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
An efficient antenna mutual coupling reduction (decoupling) technique using reactively loaded dummy element array for two dual-band closely coupled MIMO antennas is proposed in this paper.

Compact dual-band spectrograph

open access: yesaot, 2012
AbstractA concept and design method of a dual-band flat-field spectrograph is presented. In the proposed optical scheme, the working range of wavelengths is divided into two subranges. A reflection holographic grating is used in the first subrange, and a transmission concave holographic grating is used in the second one.

Multi-Resonator Dual-Band Filters on Dielectric Resonators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In the current article the concept of multi-resonator dual-band filter has been described. The dual-band filters based on three and four rectangular dielectric resonators have been synthesized that functionate in ТЕ01δ and ТЕ02δ modes.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

The NIKA2 instrument, a dual-band kilopixel KID array for millimetric astronomy

open access: yes, 2015
NIKA2 (New IRAM KID Array 2) is a camera dedicated to millimeter wave astronomy based upon kilopixel arrays of Kinetic Inductance Detectors (KID). The pathfinder instrument, NIKA, has already shown state-of-the-art detector performance. NIKA2 builds upon

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
