Dual-beam difference spectroelectrochemistry

Analytical Biochemistry, 1982
Abstract An optically transparent thin-layer electrode with carbon fibers as the working electrode is described for use in dual-beam difference spectroscopy. This cell simplifies obtaining the spectrum of a species of interest in the presence of mediators, cofactors, etc. The spectroelectrochemistry of cytochrome c with a large excess of spectrally

Simple dual-beam protein meters

Analytical Biochemistry, 1975
Abstract Stable low-noise dual-beam spectrophotometric detection systems have been built to measure protein in the effluent from chromatographic columns. Measurements are carried out at the magnesium 285.2 nm atomic resonance line isolated either by the technique of selective modulation or by the use of a narrow bandpass interference filter.

A dual-beam spectropluviometer concept

Journal of Hydrology, 2006
Summary A dual beam spectropluviometer (DBS) measuring the equivalent diameter D, the fall velocity V and the time T of arrival of particles is presented. Its main advantage over previous optical disdrometers is the whole measurement range of atmospheric precipitating particles near the ground.

Broadband laser enhanced dual-beam interferometry

Optics Letters, 2012
We demonstrate a dual-beam, balanced detector approach, compatible with commercial Fourier transform infrared spectrometers that provide a single modulated output. Implemented with a near-IR mode-locked fiber laser source and an external broadband polarizing beamsplitter, the dual-beam method provides relative intensity noise reduction and real-time ...

Dual-beam subpicosecond broadband infrared spectrometer

Optics Letters, 1994
A method for obtaining broadband multichannel IR spectra with subpicosecond time resolution is described. Spectrally broad IR pulses, produced by difference-frequency mixing of two visible pulses in LiIO3, are split to make signal and reference pulses.

A dual-beam Nasmyth spectrograph

Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1988
A recently-constructed double-beam spectrograph mounted on the Nasmyth focus of the Australian National University 2.3-m reflector is described. The spectrograph features two 150-mm collimator beams, with high throughput optics in each arm. Spectral resolutions range from 40 to 240 km s-1^.

Slit-lamp dual-beam interferometer

SPIE Proceedings, 1994
A modified slit lamp is described which makes axial eye length measurements with optical interferometry available to the clinic. A separate partial coherence Doppler interferometer is coupled to the slit lamp optics by a monomode fiber and a slit lamp attachment.
