Construction of a Dual Beam Heated Infrared Cell

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1953
The construction of a heated dual beam infrared gas cell for a Perkin-Elmer Model 21 spectrophotometer is described. The cell windows of sodium chloride are sealed to the cell by means of silicone stopcock grease. This seal has been found to be satisfactory up to a temperature of 350°C.

Calibration of dual‐beam spectroradiometric data

International Journal of Remote Sensing, 2006
An experiment to determine the most accurate and repeatable method for generating instrument inter‐calibration functions (ICFs) is described, based upon data collected with a dual‐beam GER1500 spectroradiometer system. The quality of reflectance data collected using a dual‐beam spectroradiometer system is reliant upon accurate inter‐calibration of the ...

Dual beam Yagi patch antenna

2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015
This paper presents a dual beam Yagi patch antenna. The antenna operates in the ISM band of 2.41 and 2.45 GHz. It consists of rectangular patch fed at two different probe positions. The patch has two reflectors each provides directional pattern in two perpendicular directions. The isolation is better than 20 dB and directivity is more than 3 dBi.

Dual beam dual mode TWT

1974 International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM), 1974
Design principles for a high pulse-up dual mode TWT employing dual electron beams are discussed. The tube employs a large hollow beam for CW mode operation and a reduced diameter, dense solid beam for the pulse mode. This scheme affords greater CW mode efficiency, reduced gain change between modes, and higher stability against backward wave oscillation

Dual Beam Recrystallization of Silicon on PLZT

Optical Computing, 1989
In the last few years extensive efforts have gone into the development of spatial light modulators (SLMs) for the realization of massively parallel optical processors [1-3]. The silicon-PLZT SLM approach is a promising approach and has the potential of combining the computational power of silicon with the communication power of optical interconnects [4]

Dual-beam laser deflection sensor

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1985
A compact, dual-beam laser deflection system was built, mainly from commercially available parts. While the detector and electronics yielded noise levels at the theoretical level for the detector, pointing instability of the laser led to an increase in noise by a factor of about 103.

The high-energy dual-beam technique

Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1985
Abstract This proposal represents a new experimental activity at the Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe (KfK) to study the effects of irradiation on the first wall and blanket materials of a fusion reactor. A special effort is made to demonstrate the advantages of the Dual Beam Technique (DBT) as a future research tool for materials development within ...

A dual-beam infrared interferometer-spectrometer

Infrared Physics, 1967
Abstract When a source of infrared energy traverses two different paths into each arm of a scanning interferometer Ref. (1) U.S. Pat. No. 3,286,582, each of the output interferograms contains the difference spectrum of the two. By subtracting these outputs, inherent instrument unbalance due to polarization and wave-length dependency effects in the ...
