Development and Test of Offshore Y241 Dual-channel Thermal Recovery Packer

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2018
Offshore thermal recovery wells need to be continuously or intermittently injected with nitrogen from the tubing-casing annulus. Meanwhile, the tubing-casing annulus requires to be sealed to prevent accidental flow up of produced fluid that imposes ...

Effects of dual intake channels on energy efficiency and emissions of the uniflow scavenging opposed-piston engine

open access: yesScientific Reports
Uniflow scavenging opposed-piston two-stroke diesel engine has high power density and thermal efficiency. However, the uniflow scavenging performance control is inflexible and inefficient. In this study, the dual intake channels are proposed.

Pricing Decision under Dual-Channel Structure considering Fairness and Free-Riding Behavior

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2014
Under dual-channel structure, the free-riding behavior based on different service levels between online channel and offline channel cannot be avoided, which would lead to channel unfairness.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Malformin A1–mediated cytotoxicity in ovarian cancer cells occurs through pyroptosis and autophagy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated the effects of the natural compound Malformin A1 (MA1) on the cytoskeleton that regulates cell proliferation and migration. Disruption of the cytoskeleton can impair these processes and promote cancer cell death. MA1 disrupted cytoskeletal organization, induced DNA damage, inflammation, activated autophagy, and pyroptosis ...

Delivery of DNA‐encoded vaccines and proteins in mice using cutaneous suction‐mediated transfection

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cutaneous suction‐mediated transfection in mice for delivery of DNA‐encoded vaccines and proteins. A critical limitation of DNA vaccines and other therapeutics is transfection in vivo to produce the encoded antigens or therapeutic proteins. Cutaneous suction‐based methods have demonstrated effectiveness in many animal models and have been successfully ...

Heterotropic regulation and negative homotropic cooperativity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We identified a structural module common to some proteins that couple negative cooperativity with heterotropic regulation, two features that rarely coexist. These proteins are ring‐like and present an ordered asymmetry whereby noncontacting subunits are symmetric, and their tertiary structure differs from that of contacting subunits.

Efficacy of Intermittent Theta‐Burst Stimulation for Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Emerging evidence suggests that low‐frequency neural oscillations are dynamically regulated by consciousness levels, with the recovery of low cortical activity potentially serving as a neurophysiological substrate for conscious emergence. Targeted enhancement of these low‐frequency rhythms in patients with disorders of consciousness

Effectiveness of rTMS on Working Memory and Inhibitory Impairments in Patients With Post‐Stroke Executive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Considerable efforts have been dedicated to developing effective treatments for post‐stroke executive impairment (PSEI), among which repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown great potential. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of high‐frequency rTMS on working memory (WM) and response ...

3D-Printed Dual-Channel Flow-Through Miniaturized Devices with Dual In-Channel Electrochemical Detection

open access: yesAnalytical Chemistry
Here, we present three-dimensional-printed dual-channel flow-through miniaturized devices (3Dd) with dual electrochemical detection (EDd) integrating two working electrodes each in an in-channel configuration (3Dd-EDd). Prussian Blue (PB) shell-gold nanoparticles ((PB)AuNP) core-based electrochemistry was chosen for selective hydrogen peroxide ...
