Thermal Giant Graviton with Non-commutative Dipole Field

open access: yes, 2007
Using the type II near-extremal 3D-branes solution we apply the T-duality and smeared twist to construct the supergravity backgrounds which dual to the 4D finite temperature non-commutative dipole field theories.

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Phantomless Computed Tomography-Based Quantitative Bone Mineral Density Assessment: A Literature Review

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The global surge in aging populations has intensified osteoporosis challenges, necessitating improved diagnostic methods. While dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) is the conventional standard in assessing bone mineral density (BMD), the exploration of ...

Near-Horizon Radiation and Self-Dual Loop Quantum Gravity

open access: yes, 2014
We compute the near-horizon radiation of quantum black holes in the context of self-dual loop quantum gravity. For this, we first use the unitary spinor basis of $\text{SL}(2,\mathbb{C})$ to decompose states of Lorentzian spin foam models into their self-

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Role of three-particle vertex within dual fermion calculations

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate the influence of self-energy diagrams beyond the two-particle vertex level within dual fermion theory. Specifically, we calculate the local three-particle vertex and construct from it selected dual fermion self-energy corrections to ...

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

On the mistake in the implementation of the minimal model of the dual parameterization and resulting inability to describe the high-energy DVCS data

open access: yes, 2008
We correct the mistaken claim made in \cite{Guzey:2005ec,Guzey:2006xi} that the minimal model of the dual parameterization of nucleon generalized parton distributions (GPDs) gives a good, essentially model-independent description of high-energy data on ...
