Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Some features of dual grammatical forms in the Volhynian Chronicle
The usage of dual grammatical forms in the third component of the Hypatian Codex, known as the Volhynian Chronicle, is examined, with a focus on the contextual and linguistic aspects. O.F. Zholobov’s classification of dual forms is revised.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

On dual and hyper-dual $k$-Leonardo numbers
We describe new classes of dual and hyper-dual numbers whose coefficients consist of the k-Leonardo numbers. We will call these numbers dual k-Leonardo numbers and hyper-dual k-Leonardo numbers, respectively. Then we examine several fundamental properties associated with the dual and hyper-dual k-Leonardo numbers, including recurrence relations, Binet ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

The effect of dual task demands and proficiency on second language speech production [PDF]
In this study we examined how the introduction of a parallel finger-tapping task influences second language speech (L2) encoding mechanisms and monitoring processes and how the level of proficiency impacts the efficiency and accuracy of L2 performance ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
