A Closed-Form Solution to Linear Feature-Based Registration of LiDAR Point Clouds

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Due to the high complexity of geo-spatial entities and the limited field of view of LiDAR equipment, pairwise registration is a necessary step for integrating point clouds from neighbouring LiDAR stations.

Quaternionic and Dual Quaternionic Darboux Ruled Surfaces

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science, 2021
In this paper, firstly the ruled surface drawn by the Darboux vector is expressed as a quaternion. Then, the spatial quaternionic definition of the striction curve is given and the integral invariants of the surface are calculated. Finally, the ruled surface which corresponds to a dual curve drawn by a dual Darboux vector is derived with the help of ...

Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Infection Control Practices for Vascular Access Management in Hemodialysis: Results From a Nationwide Survey of Japanese National University Hospitals

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Bloodstream infections due to repeated vascular access (VA) puncture and circuit connections remain major concerns in hemodialysis. Therefore, we examined current practices for glove, disinfectant, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use according to VA type in national university hospitals in Japan.

Dual Quaternion-Based Dynamic Modeling and Adaptive Neural Identification for Load-Assist Exoskeletons

open access: yesIEEE Access
This article addresses the challenge of modeling and controlling load-assist exoskeletons operating under dynamic and uncertain conditions. Traditional approaches often rely solely on dual quaternions for kinematic modeling, limiting their applicability ...

von Neumann type trace inequality for dual quaternion matrices

open access: yes, 2023
Dual quaternion matrices have important applications in multi-agent formation control. In this paper, we first address the concept of spectral norm of dual quaternion matrices. Then, we introduce a von Neumann type trace inequality and a Hoffman-Wielandt

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Helmert Transformation Problem. From Euler Angles Method to Quaternion Algebra

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2020
The three-dimensional coordinate’s transformation from one system to another, and more specifically, the Helmert transformation problem, is one of the most well-known transformations in the field of engineering.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
