Dual Covariant Derivative on Time Scales
2021The covariant derivative is a kind of derivative along tangent vectors of a curve or surface. The covariant derivative has many applications in physics, kinematics, robotics, machine engineering, and other scientific areas. Additionally, a dual vector or screw-vector in the dual space is an important tool widely used in kinematic and robotic studies to

Mixed-Time Scale Based Adaptive Mode Switching for Dual Mode SWIPT
2019 IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference (WPTC), 2019In this paper, we implement transmitter-oriented dual mode simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) system in which two types (single/multi-tone) of communication mode are adopted to achieve the benefit of each communication mode. Duty-cycling operation is introduced for low-power consuming IoT devices to be self-powered. We propose

Dual-Time Scale Photoinduced Electron Transfer from PbS Quantum Dots to a Molecular Acceptor
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2012A combination of picosecond and microsecond transient absorption dynamics reveals the involvement of two mechanisms by which 1,4-benzoquinone (BQ) induces the decay of the excited state of PbS quantum dots (QDs): (i) electron transfer to BQ molecules adsorbed to the surfaces of PbS QDs and (ii) collisionally gated electron transfer to freely diffusing ...

The rolling optimization strategy of CCHP system based on the electric-thermal dual time-scale
2019 Chinese Automation Congress (CAC), 2019The combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system, as one of the important development direction of distributed energy, has a excellent application prospect and development significance. Furthermore, the CCHP system itself is a complicated system with many kinds of energies coupling.

In this work, a dual-beam measurement technique is presented to measure the short-time-scale optical properties of novel materials. It is shown that the picosecond continuum probe source obtained from nonlinear interaction with H2O/D2O is highly variable and does not permit detection of small changes in absorption /transmission spectra.

Dual-time scale crystal plasticity FE model for cyclic deformation of Ti alloys
Journal of Computer-Aided Materials Design, 2007A dual-time scale finite element model is developed in this paper for simulating cyclic deformation in a Titanium alloy Ti-6242. The material is characterized by crystal plasticity constitutive relations. Modeling cyclic deformation using conventional time integration algorithms in a single time scale can be prohibitive for crystal plasticity ...
