Growth Analysis of Pearl Millet Genotypes Grown Under Different Management Practices

open access: yesAgronomy
Pearl millet is a cereal crop vital for food security in Africa and Asia. It is widely adapted for dual-purpose production, providing grain for human consumption and fodder for livestock, particularly during dry seasons.

Twisted holography without conformal symmetry

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We discuss the notion of translation-invariant vacua for 2d chiral algebras and relate it to the notion of the associated variety. The two-dimensional chiral algebra associated to four-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 U(N) SYM has a conjectural ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

The significance of quinazoline derivatives as potential multi-target anti-cancer agents: review article [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences
In recent years, the use of quinazoline and its derivatives as structural scaffolds has shown significant promise in drug design. These compounds have shown significant biological efficacy in the treatment of a variety of diseases, including cancer ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Biadjoint scalar tree amplitudes and intersecting dual associahedra

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We present a new formula for the biadjoint scalar tree amplitudes m(α|β) based on the combinatorics of dual associahedra. Our construction makes essential use of the cones in ‘kinematic space’ introduced by Arkani-Hamed, Bai, He, and Yan.

Regenerative Braking Strategy of Dual-Motor EV Considering Energy Recovery and Brake Stability

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal, 2023
The dual-motor EV (Electric Vehicle) is increasingly favored by manufacturers for its excellent performance in terms of power and economy. How to further reduce its energy consumption and make full use of the dual-motor energy recovery is an important ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
