Network Localization of Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fatigue is among the most common symptoms and one of the main factors determining the quality of life in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying fatigue are not fully understood. Here we studied lesion locations and their connections in individuals with MS, aiming to identify brain networks ...

Massive covariant colour-kinematics in 3D

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We explore topologically massive gauge theories using the covariant colour kinematics duality recently introduced in [1]. We show that the massive bi-adjoint scalar field is simply related to topologically massive gauge theory by the duality, and that ...

Supersymmetric gauged matrix models from dimensional reduction on a sphere

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
It was recently proposed that N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 supersymmetric gauged matrix models have a duality of order four — that is, a quadrality — reminiscent of infrared dualities of SQCD theories in higher dimensions.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

A master bosonization duality

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We conjecture a new sequence of dualities between Chern-Simons gauge theories simultaneously coupled to fundamental bosons and fermions. These dualities reduce to those proposed by Aharony when the number of bosons or fermions is zero.

Lessons Learned From a Delayed‐Start Trial of Modafinil for Freezing of Gait in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Freezing of gait (FOG) in people with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) is debilitating and has limited treatments. Modafinil modulates beta/gamma band activity in the pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN), like PPN deep brain stimulation. We therefore tested the hypothesis that Modafinil would improve FOG in PwPD.

3D TFTs from 4d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 BPS particles

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We propose a general strategy to build three-dimensional gauge theories with four supercharges which enjoy a supersymmetry enhancement in the IR. The resulting IR SCFTs admit topological twists with particularly nice properties, as well as boundary ...

Bosonizing three-dimensional quiver gauge theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We start with the recently conjectured 3d bosonization dualities and gauge global symmetries to generate an infinite sequence of new dualities. These equate theories with non-Abelian product gauge groups and bifundamental matter.

Diffusion‐Weighted Imaging for the Evaluation of the Sacroiliac Joint in Pediatric Patients

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Background Maturational signal in the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) of skeletally immature youth is often misinterpreted as inflammation. Diagnostic tools that improve specificity are greatly needed. Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values from diffusion‐weighted imaging (DWI), when used with standard imaging, may enhance diagnostic accuracy.

On the duality of three-dimensional superfield theories

open access: yes, 2006
Within the superfield approach, we consider the duality between the supersymmetric Maxwell-Chern-Simons and self-dual theories in three spacetime dimensions.
