Duplicate Publication

Science, 1998
We recently reported our progress toward the fully automated selection of amino acid sequences for target protein folds (1). In this communication, we described both the computational and experimental results associated with a sequence calculation that encompassed 20 of 28 residue positions in a target zinc finger fold.

Congenital Duplication

Veterinary Clinics of North America: Food Animal Practice, 1993
Almost all types of congenital duplication described in humans have been observed in food animals, and a number are illustrated in this article. Congenital duplications, especially conjoined symmetric twins, are relatively common defects in cattle. The incidence is less in sheep and in hogs, and they appear to be rare in goats.

Spine Duplication

Spine, 1985
Spinal column duplication in association with other vertebral, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary tract anomalies is reported in a female infant. An embryologic explanation is postulated, in which the combination of anomalies is attributed to a single embryologic insult occurring the latter half of the third week of gestation.

Foregut duplications

Pediatric Surgery International, 2002
Twenty-one children were treated for foregut duplications at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children over a 42-year period. There were 11 males and 10 females. The mean age at diagnosis was 1 year 6 months; antenatal diagnosis was made in 1 case. Respiratory and gastrointestinal (GI) presentation predominated.

Gastrointestinal duplications

Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 2003
The aim of this study was to review the presentations of gastrointestinal duplication (GID) and to assess the influence of prenatal diagnosis on treatment.Retrospective review of all GID at 2 pediatric hospitals from 1980-2002 was conducted.Seventy-three patients (M43:F30) were identified: 21 neonates, 28 infants (1 to 24 months), 15 children (1 to 10 ...

Penile duplication

Urology, 1986
We report on a case of penile duplication in an eight-year-old boy. While diphallia was incomplete, there was a common root of the penis which divided into two shafts of different size, doubling in frontal plane. Only one urethra left the bladder along the lower and smaller penile shaft and ended with a hypospadiac meatus. After surgical plastic repair,

Urethral Duplication

Journal of Urology, 1986
Duplication of the urethra is a rare congenital anomaly. While it is true that in some instances reconstructive surgery is not necessary, those cases that require repair pose a significant challenge to the urologist. Our experience with 3 cases illustrates the potential complexity of this deformity.

Foregut Duplications

2013
Foregut duplications are rare cystic (by far the most frequent) or tubular masses, representing 20% of mediastinal masses [1]. These duplications include a wide spectrum of anomalies, usually enteric cysts or bronchogenic malformations.

THUMB DUPLICATION

Hand Clinics, 1998
Thumb duplication is a complex congenital anomaly. Treatment requires a detailed understanding of the pathophysiology as well as an appreciation of all the components involved. The goals of surgery are to restore the normal anatomic relationships of the residual thumb.
