Être femme et écrivain au XIXe siècle : un statut encore incertain [PDF]

open access: yesRevue Roumaine d’Etudes Francophones, 2020
Reading is dangerous act for a woman – just remember the fate of Emma Bovary. Writing is even worse. Being a woman and a writer in the 19th century is completely undesirable, because femininity and celebrity are two incompatible concepts.

Gallbladder duplication

open access: yesInternational Journal of Surgery Case Reports, 2015
Gallbladder duplication is a rare congenital malformation that occurs in about one in 4000 births. Congenital anomalies of the gallbladder and anatomical variations of their positions are associated with an increased risk of complications after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. We report the case of a double gallbladder in a fifty-six year old man.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

A Case of Carcinoma Arising in a Duplication of the Sigmoid Colon [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A rare case of carcinoma in a duplication of the sigmoid colon is presented. A 61-year-old woman was admitted complaining of left epigastric pain and a mass. After several examinations including barium enema, tumor resection with left hemicolectomy was ...

MATCHCLIP: Locate precise breakpoints for copy number variation using CIGAR string by matching soft clipped reads

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2013
Copy number variations (CNVs) are associated with many complex diseases. Next generation sequencing data enable one to identify precise CNV breakpoints to better under the underlying molecular mechanisms and to design more efficient assays.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

CNV and nervous system diseases - what's new? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Several new genomic disorders caused by copy number variation (CNV) of genes whose dosage is critical for the physiological function of the nervous system have been recently identified.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...
