Inhomogeneous chemical evolution of dwarf spheroidal galaxies
Astrophysics and Space Science, 2003Stellar abundance pattern of n-capture elements such as barium is used as a powerful tool to infer how the star formation proceeded in dwarf spheroidal (dSph) galaxies. It is found that the abundance correlation of barium with iron in stars belonging to dSph galaxies orbiting the Milky Way, i.e., Draco, Sextans, and Ursa Minor have a feature similar to

Planetary Nebulae in the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy
2006The Sagittarius dwarf galaxy (Sgr) is a satellite of the Galaxy, located behind the Galactic Bulge. It is the nearest extra-galactic system, at a distance of 25 kpc. Sgr contains three known planetary nebulae (PNe) (two from Zijlstra & Walsh 1996, and one new identification).

A formation scenario of dwarf spheroidal galaxies
Astrophysics and Space Science, 2008In this paper, the author proposes a formation scenario of dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs); part of dSphs form as a result of collision of dark matter (DM) halos which retain ISM (interstellar medium). First of all, a primordial dSph forms compact when collision of DM halos occurs.

On Dark Matter in Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxies
EAS Publications Series, 2011The small (L V ≤ 107 L V ,⊙ ) baryonic components of the Milky Way’s dwarf spheroidal (dSph) satellites contribute small “backgrounds” with regards to estimates of dSph dark matter density profiles and any related predictions of dark matter decay/annihilation signals. As dSphs gain attention from a broad range of physicists interested in dark matter,
