Management of Adult Patients With Isocitrate Dehydrogenase‐Mutant Gliomas in Australia: An Expert Position Statement From the Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro‐Oncology

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology, Volume 22, Issue 3, Page 392-403, June 2026.
Following maximal surgery when feasible, management of adult patients with isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)‐mutant glioma is complex and should be considered in a neuro‐oncology multidisciplinary context balancing disease control versus potential treatment‐associated toxicities. Options include continued surveillance, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and/

Understanding the Phenotypic Heterogeneity Within the Sporadic Creutzfeldt–Jakob Disease MV1 Subtype

open access: yesNeuropathology and Applied Neurobiology, Volume 52, Issue 3, June 2026.
We present the clinical, pathological and prion biophysical features of three atypical cases of the MV1 subtype of sporadic Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (sCJD). We propose that these heterozygous cases exist on a spectrum ranging from MM1‐like to VV1‐like phenotypes and recommend that subtyping be performed at pH 6.9 to avoid missing atypical or mixed ...

Investigation of ion recombination and polarity effects in high dose rate electron beams

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Background Accurate dosimetry is essential for enhancing the effectiveness and safety of radiotherapy treatment. High dose rate electron (HDRE) beams, a dose rate up to ten times higher at the measurement point than standard electron beam at the same Monitor Unit (MU).

Diffusion‐Weighted Imaging for the Evaluation of the Sacroiliac Joint in Pediatric Patients

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Volume 78, Issue 5, Page 630-638, May 2026.
Objective Maturational signal in the sacroiliac joint (SIJ) of skeletally immature youth is often misinterpreted as inflammation. Diagnostic tools that improve specificity are greatly needed. Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values from diffusion‐weighted imaging (DWI), when used with standard imaging, may enhance diagnostic accuracy.
