Zinc Exposure Causes Disulfidptosis to Induce Miscarriage by Up‐Regulating GATA1/METTL1/SLC7A11 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zn exposure up‐regulates GATA1, promoting GATA1‐mediated METTL1 and SLC7A11 transcription. It also enhances METTL1‐mediated m7G modification on SLC7A11 mRNA, increasing SLC7A11 mRNA stability. Ultimately, Zn exposure up‐regulates SLC7A11 at both transcriptional and post‐transcriptional levels, causing disulfidptosis. Knockdown of murine Slc7a11, Gata1,

A dendritic fullerene—porphyrin dyad

open access: yesPhotochemical & Photobiological Sciences, 2006
We describe the synthesis, characterization and photophysical properties of a fullerene derivative whose structure includes a Zn-porphyrin and a second generation liquid-crystalline (LC) dendrimer. The size of the fullerene and porphyrin units with respect to the size of the LC dendrimer prevents the formation of liquid-crystalline phases.

A Brain‐Wide Atlas of Astrocytic Oxytocin Receptors Reveals a Glial Basis for Nucleus Accumbens Modulation of Affiliative Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The cellular actors of oxytocin signaling are under intense scrutiny. A brain‐wide anatomical and functional analysis in mice and rats reveals widespread expression of oxytocin receptors in astrocytes. These receptors are functionally active and, in the nucleus accumbens, selectively regulate male social affiliation.

Tandem Duplication‐Driven Neofunctionalization of UDP‐Glycosyltransferases Shapes the Diversification of Triterpenoid Saponins in the Cucurbitaceae

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.

Leadership Dyads

open access: yes, 2017
The dual leadership model, or ‘leadership dyad’, is common in professional organizations. This chapter asks: can leadership dyads can be effective and, if so, how do they work in practice?

Do Tax Incentives for Farmland Leases Increase Farm Supply? Evidence From Iowa's Beginning Farmer Tax Credit

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In recent decades, agriculture has become increasingly concentrated through horizontal mergers and acquisitions via corporate entities, and policy makers are concerned this will be exacerbated by the aging population of farm operators. To reduce market concentration in agriculture, many states have enacted policies to entice new prospective ...
