Proteogenomic Landscape of Breast Ductal Carcinoma Reveals Tumor Progression Characteristics and Therapeutic Targets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 46, December 11, 2024.
A proteogenomic analysis of 224 breast ductal carcinoma (BRDC) samples revealed the characteristics of linear multi‐step progression. Aldo‐keto reductase family 1 member C1 (AKR1C1) was identified as a potential therapeutic target and demonstrated the inhibitory effect of aspirin and dydrogesterone as its inhibitors on tumor cells.
