Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Certain Chebyshev Type Integral Inequalities Involving Hadamard’s Fractional Operators

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We establish certain new fractional integral inequalities for the differentiable functions whose derivatives belong to the space Lp([1,∞)), related to the weighted version of the Chebyshev functional, involving Hadamard’s fractional integral operators ...

Analysis of dynamic system optimum and externalities with departure time choice

open access: yes, 2006
This paper aims to analyse the dynamic system optimal assignment with departure time choice, which is an important, yet underdeveloped area. The main contribution of this paper is the necessary conditions and the sensitivity analysis for dynamic system

Dynamic-DeepHit: A Deep Learning Approach for Dynamic Survival Analysis With Competing Risks Based on Longitudinal Data

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2020
Currently available risk prediction methods are limited in their ability to deal with complex, heterogeneous, and longitudinal data such as that available in primary care records, or in their ability to deal with multiple competing risks.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Idealization Figure 3. Model of Side Member of Automobile (2) Pseudo-static and Dynamic Analyses of Side Members

open access: yes, 2008
Many investigations on optimizations of vehicle structures against collisions were done. Typical works can be seen, for example,in Ref.(1)~(7). But a few researches can be found on topology and shape optimizations of side members to consider both full ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Statistical analysis of pharmacokinetic models in dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging.

open access: yes, 2005
This paper assesses the estimation of kinetic parameters from dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI). Asymptotic results from likelihood-based nonlinear regression are compared with results derived from the posterior distribution ...

Dynamic Analysis of an Electoral Campaign [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
I nanlyse two differential games describing electoral campaigns where two candidates invest so as to increase the number of their respective voters. In both cases, parties overinvest and the number of voters is larger than in the social optimum. I extended both models to n candidates, so as to derive the socially optimal number of candidates.
