On the Generalized Hilfer Fractional Coupled Integro-Differential Systems with Multi-Point Ordinary and Fractional Integral Boundary Conditions

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we investigate a nonlinear coupled integro-differential system involving generalized Hilfer fractional derivative operators ((k,ψ)-Hilfer type) of different orders and equipped with non-local multi-point ordinary and fractional integral ...

Nonlinear dynamic analysis of an optimal particle damper

open access: yes, 2011
We study the dynamical behavior of a single degree of freedom mechanical system with a particle damper. The particle (granular) damping was optimized for the primary system operating condition by using an appropriate gap size for a prismatic enclosure ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

MonoBot: A Single-Actuator Walking Robot

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper introduces the design and analysis of novel planar mobile robot operated by a single actuator. Distinct from conventional multi-actuator designs, this robot achieves both walking and turning motions through a single actuator mechanism, thereby

Analysis of Performance of Dynamic Multicast Routing Algorithms

open access: yes, 1998
In this paper, three new dynamic multicast routing algorithms based on the greedy tree technique are proposed; Source Optimised Tree, Topology Based Tree and Minimum Diameter Tree. A simulation analysis is presented showing various performance aspects of

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Elastoplastic Dynamic Analysis and Damage Evaluation of Reinforced Concrete Structures Based on Time Histories

open access: yesBuildings
In this study, the impact of seismic time histories (STHs) on structural damage was examined, focusing on maximum elastoplastic displacement (δmax) and cumulative hysteretic energy (Eh). A specialized STH Damage Analysis Program (STHDAP) was developed to
