CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Computational Method for Dynamic Analysis of Multibody Systems with Deformable Elements

open access: yesMathematics
The dynamics of mechanical systems with fast motions and dynamic loads are strongly influenced by the deformability of kinematic elements. The finite element method and the superposition of rigid body motion with deformable body motion allow us to ...

Vehicle-bridge dynamic interaction using finite element modelling

open access: yes, 2010
First investigations on the dynamic response of bridges due to moving loads were motivated by the collapse of the Chester railway bridge in the UK in the middle of the 19th century.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Dynamic and statically equivalent approaches for analysis of the turbine foundations under the emergency load

open access: yesMagazine of Civil Engineering
The article presents the results of the research of the emergency loads effect on reinforced concrete turbine foundations of different types. Computational experiments were performed in a specialized finite element analysis program NX/NASTRAN ...

Dynamic Factor Analysis with ARMA Factors [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we present a new approach to the specification of dynamic factor models. Our model has three advantages over existing work. Firstly, it is based on a minimal-dimension state-space representation giving some gain in computational efficiency ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...
