CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Study on charging strategy of wireless rechargeable sensor networks based on dynamic inhomogeneous clustering

open access: yesScientific Reports
In wireless rechargeable sensor networks (WRSNs), high node mortality rate severely constrains the network performance. To address this problem, this paper proposes an innovative charging strategy based on dynamic inhomogeneous clustering (DICCS).

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

A non-obtrusive technique to characterize dielectric charging in RF-MEMS capacitive switches [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Degradation and failure due to dielectric charging has been a dominant and pervasive reliability concern for RF-MEMS switches. Traditionally, the operational lifetime dictated by this degradation phenomenon is extrapolated from a series of measurements ...

Congestion management for urban EV charging systems

open access: yes
We consider the problem of managing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging at charging points in a city to ensure that the load on the charging points remains within the desired limits while minimizing the inconvenience to EV owners.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

Site selection and capacity determination of charging stations considering the uncertainty of users’ dynamic charging demands

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research
Aiming at the problems of high investment and low efficiency in the planning and construction of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in cities, an optimization model for site selection and capacity determination of charging stations considering the ...
