Systematic Hysteresis Analysis for Dynamic Comparators

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2019
Comparator hysteresis is a memory phenomenon allowing outputs maintaining their past stable states until the input difference overcomes a given threshold voltage. In some applications, such as ADCs and memories, hysteresis is a deterministic error that should be minimized.

Poverty and Fertility Dynamics: A Comparative Analysis

Population Review, 2006
In this paper we use unique longitudinal data sources to study the relationship between poverty and fertility at household level in Albania, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Vietnam. These countries differ greatly in their history, average income, social structure, economic institutions and demographic features.

Essays in comparative dynamics

2010
Problems in the theory of economic dynamics are tackled both by theoretical arguments and by use of specific examples. The work is divided into three essays. The first treats optimal control theory from an economic point of view, giving an exposition of the mathematical theory in terms of economic concepts.

A New Method to Compare Dynamical Systems

2007
This work presents a new method to compare two Temporal Fuzzy Chains (TFCs). The TFCs comparison is used to compare the temporal evolution of two dynamical systems (TFCs). Firstly, the two TFCs that represent the two DSs are obtained. After that, the two obtained TFCs are compared, so the similarityof the two TFCs is obtained.

Comparative Dynamics in the Comics Industry

Due to the enormous cultural and economic impact of the Marvel movies, manga, and anime, research on the comics industry is growing, but has focused primarily on the US and Japan. This book focusses on the European comics industry to explore the complex impact of organizational and cultural differences in audience behaviours, both in the comics ...

Comparative dynamics in a health investment model

Journal of Health Economics, 1999
The method of comparative dynamics fully exploits the inter-temporal structure of optimal control models. I derive comparative dynamic results in a simplified demand for health model. The effect of a change in the depreciation rate on the optimal paths for health capital and investment in health is studied by use of a phase diagram.
