The Dynamics of Comparative Advantage [PDF]
This paper characterizes the dynamic empirical properties of country export capabilities in order to inform modelling of the long-run behavior of comparative advantage. The starting point for our analysis is two strong empirical regularities in international trade that have previously been studied incompletely and in isolation to one another.

When are comparative dynamics monotone? [PDF]
Abstract A common problem in dynamic economic theory is to determine when an increase in a parameter and/or an initial condition increases the future dynamics of a theoretical economy. This paper provides conditions that are necessary and sufficient for making statements of this type. The result is applicable to situations with a single agent or with

Design of an Efficient Parallel Comparator Architecture for Low Power Delay Product
A binary comparator architecture is proposed in this work for static logic to achieve both low-power and high-performance operations. It also presents a detailed timing performance and power analysis of various state-of-the-art comparator designs.

Technology and the dynamics of comparative advantage [PDF]
AbstractThis paper explores how trade affects innovation in a two‐country, two‐good, two‐factor Heckscher–Ohlin model with heterogeneous firms. Trade openness induces an increase in process innovation in both industries. The increase is stronger in the comparative advantage industry. Trade openness boosts prospective entrants' profits in that industry,

This paper presents a low noise 0.6-V 400-kS/s asynchronous successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for input-referred noise reduction. A dual-domain comparator is proposed to optimize the power, noise, and sampling rate

Comparing Families of Dynamic Causal Models
Mathematical models of scientific data can be formally compared using Bayesian model evidence. Previous applications in the biological sciences have mainly focussed on model selection in which one first selects the model with the highest evidence and then makes inferences based on the parameters of that model.

NVU dynamics. II. Comparing to four other dynamics [PDF]
In the companion paper [T. S. Ingebrigtsen, S. Toxvaerd, O. J. Heilmann, T. B. Schrøder, and J. C. Dyre, “NVU dynamics. I. Geodesic motion on the constant-potential-energy hypersurface,” J. Chem. Phys. (in press)] an algorithm was developed for tracing out a geodesic curve on the constant-potential-energy hypersurface. Here, simulations of NVU dynamics
