Static compression for dynamic texts
Proceedings of IEEE Data Compression Conference (DCC'94), 2002The authors have explored the particular needs of large information retrieval systems, in which hundreds of megabytes of data are stored, retrieval is non-sequential, and new text is continually being appended. It has been shown that the word-based model can be adapted to cope well both with dynamic environments, and with situations in which decode ...

Compressibility effects on dynamic stall
Progress in Aerospace Sciences, 1996Abstract Dynamic stall delay of flow over airfoils rapidly pitching past the static stall angle has been studied by many scientists. However, the effect of compressibility on this dynamic stall behavior has been less comprehensively studied. This review presents a detailed assessment of research performed on this subject, including a historical ...

Compressed index for dynamic text
Data Compression Conference, 2004. Proceedings. DCC 2004, 2004This paper investigates how to index a text which is subject to updates. The best solution in the literature (P.Ferragina, et al., 1998) is based on suffix tree using O(n log n) bits of storage, where n is the length of the text. It supports finding all occurrences of a pattern P in O(|P|+occ) time, where occ is the number of occurrences.

Modeling dynamic skinfold compression
American Journal of Human Biology, 1999Real time compression of skinfolds was measured at three sites (triceps, abdominal medial calf), using a Slim Guide skinfold caliper adapted by the addition of a potentiometer, on eight males and eight females (age range 18-40 years). An average of eight trials for each subject at each site was used in modeling the compression curves.

Multiband dynamic compressed sensing
2015 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI), 2015The combination of the PI with CS reconstruction has been an important research topic in MR community due to its potential for further acceleration in MR acquisition. In particular, the application to the 3D volumetric imaging has great potential due to the introduction of additional dimension along slice direction.

Dynamic polygon cloud compression
2017 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2017We introduce a compressible representation of 3D geometry (including its attributes, such as color texture) intermediate between polygonal meshes and point clouds called a polygon cloud. Polygon clouds, compared to polygonal meshes, are more robust to live capture noise and artifacts.

Dynamic-history predictive compression
Information Systems, 1988The problem of compressing a discrete finite ergodic source sequence is approached from a predictive point of view. An algorithm is described that dynamically builds a conditional probability tree by adding leaves in proportion to their potential for reducing the entropy of the tree.

Data compression applied to dynamic electrocardiography
Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, 1989We have tested some techniques of ECG compression on the BIH/MIT Arrhythmias database. We have applied the following methods: (1) method of differences; (2) compression by prediction; (3) sample skipping methods; with the following kinds of errors: amplitude error, amplitude and delay error, area error.
