Analysis of dynamic contrast enhanced MRI

The British Journal of Radiology, 2004
The advances in MRI image acquisition have led to the increasing use of parametric or calculated images, which are designed to display physiological features of tissues rather than simply anatomical structure. One common type of dynamic imaging data is produced when rapidly repeated sequential imaging sequences are performed during injection of an ...

Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI

2018
Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI in pre-clinical imaging allows the in-vivo monitoring of vascular, physiological properties in normal and diseased tissue. There is considerable variation in the methods employed owing to the different questions that can be asked and answered about the physiologic alterations as well as morphologic changes in tissue.

Dynamic contrast enhanced MRI in prostate cancer

European Journal of Radiology, 2007
Angiogenesis is an integral part of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), is associated with prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) and is key to the growth and for metastasis of prostate cancer. Dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) using small molecular weight gadolinium chelates enables non-invasive imaging characterization

Assessment of ameloblastomas using MRI and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI

European Journal of Radiology, 2005
We retrospectively evaluated magnetic resonance images (MRI) and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) of ameloblastomas. MRI and DCE-MRI were performed for 10 ameloblastomas. We obtained the following results from the MRI and DCE-MRI. (a) Ameloblastomas can be divided into solid and cystic portions on the basis of MR signal intensities.

Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced (DCE) MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North America
The non-invasive dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) method provides valuable insights into tissue perfusion and vascularity. Primarily used in oncology, DCE-MRI is typically utilized to assess morphology and contrast agent (CA) kinetics in the tissue of interest.

Multiscale entropy analysis in dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
In this paper we apply multiscale entropy (MSE) analysis to data obtained from magnetic resonance imaging of the female breast. All cases include lesions that were histologically proven as malignant tumors. Our results indicate that multiscale entropy analysis can play an important role in the detection of tumor tissue when applied to single ...

Dynamic contrast‐enhanced MRI for oncology drug development

Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2016
Dynamic contrast‐enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE‐MRI) is a promising tool for evaluating tumor vascularity, as it can provide vasculature‐derived, functional, and quantitative parameters. To implement DCE‐MRI parameters as biomarkers for monitoring the effect of antiangiogenic or vascular‐disrupting treatment, two crucial elements of surrogate

Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI for prostate cancer localization

The British Journal of Radiology, 2009
Radiotherapy dose escalation improves tumour control in prostate cancer but with increased toxicity. Boosting focal tumour only may allow dose escalation with acceptable toxicity. Intensity-modulated radiotherapy can deliver this, but visualization of the tumour remains limiting.

The Adjacent Vessel on Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Breast MRI

American Journal of Roentgenology, 2006
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether an adjacent vessel leading to an enhancing lesion seen on subtraction images can help differentiate malignant from benign breast lesions and therefore increase the specificity of breast MRI.The study included 132 histologically verified lesions (71 malignant lesions, 10 pure carcinoma in situ, and 51

Fundamentals of tracer kinetics for dynamic contrast‐enhanced MRI

Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2011
AbstractTracer kinetic methods employed for quantitative analysis of dynamic contrast‐enhanced (DCE) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) share common roots with earlier tracer studies involving arterial‐venous sampling and other dynamic imaging modalities.
