Conference Record of 2008 54th Annual Pulp and Paper Industry Technical Conference, 2008This paper proposes and evaluates a methodology for robust, on-line estimation of the modulus of elasticity of an elastic strip transported through a multi-span system. The estimation algorithm is based on a previously developed robust sensorless sheet tension estimation, and the computation of speed draws using 1024-pulse encoders operating in 4x mode.

The elastic modulus of dentine determined by static and dynamic methods
Clinical Materials, 1994The purpose of this investigation was to determine a static elastic modulus of dentine using a three point beam test and a dynamic modulus in the frequency range of 0.1 Hz and 10 Hz across a temperature range of 27-37 degrees C.
