Measurement of the dynamic modulus of elasticity of wood panels

Frontiers of Forestry in China, 2006
This study investigated the dynamic modulus of elasticity (DMOE) of wood panels of Fraxinus mandshurica, Pinus koraiensis, and Juglans mandshurica using the natural frequency measurement system of fast Fourier transform (FFT). The results were compared with the static modulus of elasticity (E S) tested by a mechanical test machine.

Graphical Analysis of Static and Dynamic Elastic Modulus of Shaving Sheet

Journal of Multimedia, 2013
The traditional measurement method of thin wood-based panel’s elastic modulus is carried out on the test piece for three-point or four-point bending static deformation test, the determination process is complex, time consuming, and makes damage to specimen.

Dynamics of laser-induced cavitation bubbles near elastic boundaries: influence of the elastic modulus

Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 2001
The interaction of a laser-induced cavitation bubble with an elastic boundary is investigated experimentally by high-speed photography and acoustic measurements. The elastic material consists of a polyacrylamide (PAA) gel whose elastic properties can be controlled by modifying the water content of the sample.

The Static and the Dynamic Modulus of Elasticity of Recycled Aggregate Concrete

Advanced Materials Research, 2014
The main aim of this contribution is description of the static and the dynamic modulus of elasticity of concrete containing recycled aggregate. Recycled construction and demolition waste, especially recycled concrete, is able to use as an aggregate for concrete, but using of recycled aggregate has a negative impact of concrete characteristic.

Dynamic Elastic Modulus

1986
In that the elastic constants, Cij, which may be used to calculate the bulk, shear, and Young’s moduli, as well as the Debye temperatures of polycrystalline materials, are related to the electronic properties and in some cases have first been calculated from principles, they form a bridge between the mechanical properties of materials and their ...

Comparison of the static and dynamic elastic modulus in carbonate rocks

Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment, 2011
Young’s modulus is one of the most important mechanical parameters in building materials used to assess both the appropriateness of a material as well as its mechanical stability. The paper reports a study to predict the elastic modulus for ten carbonate rocks using the ultrasonic technique.

Static and Dynamic Elastic Modulus of Jointed Rock Mass

International Journal of Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, 2010
In this paper the compressive strength/elastic modulus of the jointed rock mass was estimated as a function of intact rock strength/modulus and joint factor. The joint factor reflects the combined effect of joint frequency, joint inclination and joint strength.

Dynamic Elastic Modulus Measurements in Materials

1990
Description Documents theoretical and experimental techniques used for practicing, analyzing or measuring elastic modulus in solid materials. 15 papers offer guidance in the selection of appropriate methods of modulus where temperature, frequency and strain amplitude are of concern.

Dynamic method of measuring Young's modulus of elasticity

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1964
A dynamic method of measuring the Young's modulus of elasticity of a solid has been developed. This uses the resonance in the flexural vibrations of loaded fixed-free bars at frequencies below 200 c/s. The frequency equation has been derived for a fixed-free prismatic bar, carrying a heavy mass of precise finite dimensions at the free end.
