Compactness criteria and new impulsive functional dynamic equations on time scales

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we introduce the concept of Δ-sub-derivative on time scales to define ε-equivalent impulsive functional dynamic equations on almost periodic time scales.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Certain Novel Dynamic Inequalities Applicable in the Theory of Retarded Dynamic Equations and Their Applications

open access: yesMathematics
In this article, we establish certain time-scale-retarded dynamic inequalities that contain nonlinear retarded integral equations on various time scales. These inequalities extend and generalize some significant inequalities existing in the literature to

Sparse dynamics for partial differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2013
We investigate the approximate dynamics of several differential equations when the solutions are restricted to a sparse subset of a given basis. The restriction is enforced at every time step by simply applying soft thresholding to the coefficients of the basis approximation.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Improved Hille-Type and Ohriska-Type Criteria for Half-Linear Third-Order Dynamic Equations

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we examine the oscillatory behavior of solutions to a class of half-linear third-order dynamic equations with deviating arguments α2(η)ϕδ2α1ηϕδ1uΔ(η)ΔΔ+p(η)ϕδu(g(η))=0, on an arbitrary unbounded-above time scale T, where η∈[η0,∞)T:=[η0 ...

General Existence of Solutions to Dynamic Programming Principle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We provide an alternative approach to the existence of solutions to dynamic programming equations arising in the discrete game-theoretic interpretations for various nonlinear partial differential equations including the infinity Laplacian, mean curvature

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.
